Libin was born in Russia, and immigrated to Boston with his parents at age 8. "If I have to look up information about me and my family, I can always find it." The app is password-protected, and Perkins says he feels secure about it not getting hacked into. He puts all his important information - passport number, passwords, banking account and routing numbers, into Evernote, so he can pick them up wherever he is. Now, with Evernote, "I can take a note on my phone and when I want to follow up, it's on my desktop and iPad." The former Google executive used to e-mail digital notes to himself, but they ended up getting scattered. Lars Perkins likes Evernote for its ability to sync across devices.
